I thought I saw your face across a crowded room, the fleeting image of your body and smile. But, then, people got in the way.

I thought I heard you and me and what used to be in a few bitter-sweet notes of a song, but the scene changed and we were gone .

At times I think I can smell, taste, and touch you when I kiss the back of my own hand but now it’s all moved on like you never filled my heart, mind and song; like pain and joy are just elusive, unreal memories that’s neither right nor wrong, just another old, faded, illusive, love song.
