THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WALKING ON WATER AND THIN ICE
(A little short story for spiritual seekers)
Decades ago, when I was living in Tennessee deeply involved in seeking and searching for the meaning of life I met an old man in a bar, an ex-preacher it turned out.
He was making a lot of sense, so I was putting my best philosophical and spiritual questions to him when he stopped and looked me dead in the eye and said, “Sam, what do you think the difference is between walking on water and thin ice”?
I thought it over for a minute and said, “I don’t know, Preacher, what is the difference between walking on water and tin ice”
He bit into his bottom lip with a grimace and said, “just a little bit less than one degree”.
As we laughed and laughed, I felt another wall within me begin to crumble.

First off I want to say fantastic blog! I had a quick question in which I’d like to ask if you don’t mind.
I was interested to know how you center yourself and clear your head before writing.
I’ve had a difficult time clearing my mind in getting my ideas out.
I do enjoy writing however it just seems like the first 10 to
15 minutes are generally wasted just trying to figure out how to begin. Any ideas or
tips? Cheers!
Meditation.
