…….and the wind lifted the leaves from the ground and one gnarled, ancient leaf attached itself to a twig and the twig shuddered and the tree moved. Another ancient leaf attached itself to a twig and the twig shuddered and the tree moved, the ground shrugged, the river rose, the earth turned and the universe smiled as the same little, light breasted, bird lit in his favorite place in my back yard and a bee buzzed by while a flower bloomed and the miraculous and I remembered each other.
