OUR ANNIVERSARY
My wife and I are celebrating our 21st anniversary today. We celebrated it quietly, just doing what we, and I guess most retired people do most days, taking care of our home and yard, running errands, checking the weather, and a little news.
This evening I went out and picked us up a nice meal and we dined in, formally acknowledged our years together, our deep love and appreciation for each other, and enjoyed our celebration in the safety of our home. Throughout today, and every day, as the spirit moves me, I pause and thank God for all He gives us, thank Him for taking wonderful care of us, our beautiful little home, our beautiful community, and America, and all it stands for; Verma says that, in her own way, she does the same. We plan to top the day off with a quiet evening. Praise be to God.
